Our Doctors of Physical Therapy will assess your pelvis and all possible contributing factors in a thorough evaluation to find the root cause of your symptoms. They will then create a treatment plan specific to you to lead you towards symptom relief.

A typical treatment for bladder dysfunction could include

  • Manual therapy can include myofascial release and visceral releases direct to your bladder and any contributing area to help reduce pain and tension and improve tissue length

  • You will be prescribed specific exercises to help improve mobility of your pelvis, hips, back, diaphragm. We will teach you how to move in ways that protect your pelvic floor while improving overall coordination an control

  • Our goal is to improve your overall awareness of you pelvic floor and all parts of you body that contriute to it. We will help improve your strength deficits, motor coordination, timing and empower you to feel confident with all of your daily tasks or any move incorporated in your regular workouts with a sense of leaking or urgency.

  • Our therapists will educate you on their findings and help you fully understand not only what is going on with your body but also what you can do to help reduce your symptoms

  • If we have inappropriate pressure management strategies, meaning, we bear down, breath hold and maintain improper alignment especially when lifting then we could be overloading our pelvic floor resulting in leaking. We will help teach you effective pressure management strategies to help prevent inappropriately bearing down on your pelvis
