FAQ’s
-
If you are pregnant and having any pain or difficulty we recommending starting right away. If you are wanting to prepare your body for birth and postpartum we recommend starting around 34 weeks so we can help establish a plan prior to baby’s arrival
If you are postpartum we break it into 2 (phases). Early Postpartum and Experienced Moms.
For early postpartum, we would like to start between 2-6 weeks postpartum. We want to begin before you are cleared for exercise so we can help to build a solid foundation allowing you to get back to what you want to do safely.
If you are an experienced mom we would like you to start whenever you are ready! Some of the pains you are experiencing may still be due to how your body changed during pregnancy and delivery.

Each session is one on one for 55 minutes

We do a detailed full body evaluation on every one of our clients to determine what is effecting their complaint(s). We evaluate your pelvic floor via internal and/or external techniques depending on the client. We look at how you breath. We test ROM and flexibility throughout your entire body. We also look at how you move whether it is simply how you bend forward to change your child’s diaper to how you do jumping jacks. All of this helps us treat you as a whole and not just your pelvic floor giving you lasting results!
-
This depends greatly on complaint of the client as well as what their specific goals are. Generally manual therapy is performed on a lot of our clients which can mean internal or external release of muscles, joint mobilizations and/or scar mobilizations. We also compliment our manual therapy skills with dry needling to help relieve symptoms. The rest of treatment, again varies based on the client but you will be doing more than just kegels or stretching. We individualize your sessions for your goals!

The state of Georgia is currently a direct access state for Physical Therapists and therefore does not require a prescription to be seen initially. We have 21 days from your first visit before we would need to contact your provider to ask them for a prescription which we would be more than happy to help you with.
-
We are currently an out of network provider with all insurance companies. We are able to provide you with a super bill, or a detailed invoice, that you can present to your insurance company to go towards your out of network benefits if you have them.
We understand the difficulty with not participating with insurance companies, however over the many years of treating patients with insurance restrictions we have found significant limitations preventing us from providing the quality of care our patients deserve.
-
This is one of the most commonly asked questions but it does not have a simple answer. The real answer is, it depends. It depends on your personal history, your base strength level and your pressure management strategies. We will be able to do a full assessment and teach you the strategies you will need to return to running or high impact activities as soon as your body is ready.
-
Whether you are two weeks or several years postpartum, we can work with you to help change pressure management strategies and help to minimize and/or correct the issues you are still having.
-
It does not matter if this is your first pregnancy or if you have had multiple. We can help you overcome common postpartum issues regardless of how many pregnancies you have had.
