leaking, pressure, pain, or just feeling lost postpartum? there’s a better way

Pregnancy and delivery change your body in big ways — but you don’t have to live with incontinence, prolapse, pain, or confusion about how to move again. Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you heal, rebuild strength, and get back to what you love.

  • Peeing yourself when you cough, laugh, or exercise

  • Trouble controlling your bowels

  • Pain during intimacy

  • Discomfort or sensitivity at your scar (C-section or perineal)

  • Back pain that won’t go away

  • Feeling lost about how to safely return to workouts, running, or even daily activities

These symptoms may be common, but you don’t have to just “wait and see what happens.”

Common, Yes. Normal? No

Your pelvic floor is part of your core system. It’s designed to move with your breath, hips, and back — not just squeeze and hold. That’s why “just do Kegels” often doesn’t solve the problem.

At Empower PT, we take a whole-body approach. We teach your muscles to work together, rebuild your strength, and help you move without fear of leaking, pain, or pressure. Whether you want to chase your kids, enjoy intimacy without worry, or get back to your favorite workouts, pelvic floor PT can get you there.

There’s more to your pelvic floor than just kegels

Pelvic Floor PT isn’t all the same- here’s what makes us different

At Empower PT, you’re never just another appointment on the schedule. We’ve reimagined pelvic health care so you get the time, attention, and expertise you deserve.

  • 1-on-1, 60-minute sessions — no rushed, cookie-cutter visits

  • Whole-body approach — we don’t just look at your pelvic floor, we connect the dots with your hips, back, core, and breath

  • Movement + strength focused — not just lying down and squeezing, but training for the life you actually live

  • Personalized care — your goals guide everything we do

  • Created by women, for women — we’ve been in your shoes and know how frustrating it is to be brushed off or told “it’s normal”

We believe women deserve better care — and we’ve built Empower PT to deliver exactly that.

Here’s what happens at your first visit

  • We start with a detailed conversation about your story, symptoms, and goals so you feel fully heard.

  • Next, we do a whole-body evaluation — looking at your core, back, hips, pelvic floor, and breathing patterns. We’ll check how you move, your strength, and where there may be tightness or tenderness. This helps us connect the dots and understand why your symptoms are happening.

  • We may recommend an internal pelvic floor exam to get more information, but it’s never required and rarely something we do at the very first visit.

  • Before you leave, you’ll learn practical strategies and exercises you can start using right away.

We know it can feel intimidating to talk about pelvic health. That’s why we take the time to listen, explain, and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.

success stories

I engaged with Lauren for 8 sessions to curb my pelvic floor issues. I thought that what I was experiencing was normal for my age & having had 2 babies. Little did I know that it wasn’t something I had to live with. Lauren really listened to me, focused on my whole body, with the emphasis on enhancing my quality of life. After each session, she had home exercises for me to do. There’s an app with an accompanying video and notes specific to me. How easy was this? I so appreciate the time she put into me. Working with Lauren was absolutely worth the investment.
